Paperwork Shmaperwork

If you love paperwork Boris- our employee Benefits Communication portal is not for you.

But if you would love to save a tree or two, we have just the solution!

Let me set the stage.

Before Boris, HR managers would inundate their employees with loads of paperwork which explained to them the benefits associated with working at their beloved workplace. While these were fantastic ‘perks at work’ the benefit would often be lost in translation with the accompanying documents (explaining how to to use the benefits, T&C’s etc), and before you knew it these documents would be lost at the bottom of a stack of papers, never to be seen again… but more importantly, never to be used by the employees.

Fast forward a few years and as you stand on the main office floor, you randomly poll your employees about their benefits. You want to know what they use and what they don’t. Sadly, not only do 90% or your employees not have a clue what you offer, they have also never used these benefits and feel like other companies might offer so much more (when really you offer the same or better). So you go back to the drawing board and try to solicit different perks at work for your employees AND. . . you get the same results.

So what’s going on?

Well, the simple answer is. . . you love paperwork, and the newer generations grew up digital.

They aren’t going to read your fine print (and let’s face it… secretly you hate it too). To upgrade you need to ditch the papers and go digital. You need something your employees can check on their phones when they are out at the pub on a weekend and can use one of your awesome discount vouchers (and then mention it to their co-workers on Monday). They need something they can swipe up to use during check out at the grocery store or online when they order their groceries. They need something they can redeem instantly when they go out to the movies for only £5/ ticket… now THAT is a sweet deal (just sayn’).

Aside from being able to redeem benefits on the spot, it is also helpful to have some T&C’s on hand at anytime. Imagine your employee shopping for a bike for your bike to work scheme and not fully understanding how it works. No Probs, they just open Boris on their phone, click on the ‘Bike to Work’ folder and see how everything works before making a big purchase.

Not only is this easier for your employees (and they think you’re awesome) it is better for YOU. You can see what employees use, which means you no longer need to stand in the middle of the office floor with doughnuts once a year trying to solicit information about which perks they use and which ones they don’t. All of the sudden life is easier, your desk is cleaner and you have more time to think about other things… like which benefit you are going to use this weekend.

So save a tree, go digital and say no to paperwork!
